The Open Clusters Survey (OSC) was a scientific programme aimed at comprehensive studies on neglected open clusters. Relations between astrophysical parameters parametrising the structure, dynamics and evolution state of open clusters were investigated with statistical methods. Open cluster were also searched for new variable stars.
The Open Clusters Survey (OSC) was a scientific programme the goal of which was to determine astrophysical parameters that describe the structure, dynamics and evolution state of neglected open clusters. The statistical relations between some parameter sets were studied and compared with theoretical predictions. The survey was based on the wide field BV CCD photometry obtained with the 90/180 cm Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescope (TSC90) and other instruments.
A dedicated search for variable stars in fields of selected clusters was also performed. The main goal of this survey was to learn the open cluster parameters better through investigation of the population of variable stars, probable cluster members.
